The RAM Cummins 6.7-Liter Turbo Diesel Engine

RAM uses the 6.7-liter turbo diesel Cummins diesel engine in its RAM 2500 and 3500 trucks. RAM also uses the Cummins in the 3500, 4500, and 5500 chassis cabs.

Because diesel engines constantly run in commercial trucks, RAM came up with a cooling system that rejects heat 25% better than the old system. It uses double transmission coolers and radiators, a charge air cooler, and a more efficient fan.

Contact Mevert Automotive & Tire Center in Steeleville, IL if your Cummins diesel engine needs maintenance or repair. Our mechanics have experience working on such machines.

The Powerstroke diesel has been around since 1994. This diesel engine was manufactured by International Navistar to be a reliable engine with better performance than Ford’s previous diesel engines.

You can find the Powerstroke in 7.3, 6.0, 6.4, and 6.7-liter engine sizes. Powerstroke is a very reliable engine, especially when you keep up with its maintenance.

Along with Powerstroke and Cummins, Mevert Automotive & Tire Center in Steeleville, IL also works on Duramax diesel engines

This 6.6-liter engine was first used in 2001 when it replaced the 6.5-liter Detroit engine. GM came up with a CP4 injection pump, which is more efficient than the old CP3 injection pump and control module combination.
